Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Reboot iOS app, Apple Watch app, and website. By using Reboot, you agree to these Terms.
Reboot is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apps from the App Store are licensed, not sold, and Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple Standard EULA") applies unless a custom EULA is separately provided through App Store Connect. These Terms supplement the Apple Standard EULA for Reboot's app features, account features, website, support, and purchases. If these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA about your licensed use of the app, the Apple Standard EULA controls.

Who Can Use Reboot
You may use Reboot if you are at least 13 years old, or at least 16 where a higher age applies, and you can legally agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.
What Reboot Is
Reboot is a fitness and wellness app for prebuilt workouts, custom workouts, workout tracking, Apple Watch support, Apple Health integration, progress views, optional sign-in, optional cloud backup, and optional Premium features.
Reboot is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Exercise involves risk. Use your own judgment, stop if something feels wrong, and talk to a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing an exercise routine if you have health concerns.
Accounts and Cloud Backup
You can use Reboot without an account. If you do not sign in, app data is stored locally on your device.
If you sign in with Apple or Google, Reboot may use Supabase to authenticate you and back up eligible app-owned data so you can restore it later. You are responsible for keeping your account access secure.
Deleting your Reboot account deletes your cloud account and cloud backup data, but it does not automatically delete local app data from your device. Delete the app to remove local app data. Deleting your account or deleting the app does not cancel an App Store subscription because subscriptions are managed by Apple.
HealthKit and Apple Health
Reboot uses HealthKit only with your permission. You can grant, deny, or revoke Apple Health access in iOS Settings.
Reboot may read supported Apple Health data for workout tracking, profile sync, calorie estimates, heart rate zones, and progress views. Reboot may write completed workouts and active energy estimates to Apple Health.
Reboot does not use or share HealthKit, health, or fitness data for advertising, marketing, sale, data mining, or cross-app tracking.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Reboot may offer a free tier, monthly or yearly auto-renewable Premium subscriptions, and a lifetime one-time purchase.
The exact features, price, currency, billing period, trial or introductory offer, renewal terms, and availability are shown in Reboot and on the App Store before you confirm a purchase. Prices and availability may vary by region and may change over time.
Payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not directly by Reboot. You can request a refund through Apple Support or https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
Reboot includes restore-purchase flows so you can restore eligible purchases using the same Apple ID. If you sign in to Reboot, subscription state may also be linked to your Reboot account through RevenueCat for entitlement and restore support.
Your Content
Custom workouts and similar content you create in Reboot remain yours. You give Reboot a limited permission to store, display, process, back up, and restore that content only as needed to provide the app features you use.
Do not use Reboot to create or store unlawful, harmful, infringing, or abusive content.
Rules
You agree not to:
- Use Reboot for unlawful purposes
- Abuse, disrupt, overload, or interfere with Reboot or its service providers
- Attempt to bypass purchase, entitlement, security, or account systems
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where the law allows it
- Upload malware or use Reboot to harm another person, system, or service
Third-Party Services
Reboot relies on third-party services including Apple, Google, Supabase, RevenueCat, TelemetryDeck, and Google Forms. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and privacy policies.
See Reboot's Privacy Policy for details about data handling: https://rebootfitness.app/privacy
Availability and Beta Access
Reboot may change, suspend, or discontinue features, beta access, TestFlight availability, or the website as the product evolves. Beta builds may expire or behave differently from public App Store releases.
Disclaimers and Liability
Reboot is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not promise that Reboot will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every person's health, fitness level, goals, or equipment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tom Frauenfelder is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of Reboot.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.
Ending Use
You can stop using Reboot at any time by deleting the app, signing out, deleting your account, or canceling your subscription through Apple if you have one.
We may suspend or restrict access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or create legal, security, or operational risk.
Changes
We may update these Terms when Reboot, legal requirements, or service providers change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of Reboot after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, except where local law gives you rights that cannot be excluded.
